Terms & Conditions

The basis on which we work with you — what we do, what we need from you, and what we can and cannot promise.

Last updated: 10 August 2026

These terms apply to your use of www.dbmsbusiness.ae and to the services provided by Diligence Business Management (DBM) from our office at Office 2511, Aspin Commercial Tower, Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using this website or engaging us, you accept them.

Where we send you a written proposal, quotation or engagement letter for a specific piece of work, that document sets out the scope, fees and payment terms for that engagement. If anything in it differs from these terms, that document takes precedence.

What we do

DBM is a business setup and corporate services consultancy. We advise on and administer company formation (mainland, free zone and offshore), trade licences, UAE residence visas, PRO and government liaison work, VAT and corporate tax registration, goAML and AML compliance, accounting and bookkeeping, bank account applications, trademark registration, office solutions and licence renewals.

We act as your representative and adviser in dealing with the relevant authorities. We are not a government department, a law firm, a bank, or a licensed financial or tax adviser in any other jurisdiction, and nothing on this website is legal, tax or investment advice for your particular circumstances.

What we cannot promise

This is the most important clause on this page, so it is stated plainly. Licences, visas, approvals, activity codes, name reservations and bank accounts are granted at the sole discretion of the relevant UAE authority or financial institution. We prepare and present your application properly and follow it up diligently — but we do not control the outcome and cannot guarantee that any application will be approved, or approved within a particular time.

Timelines we give you are estimates based on our experience. They can change because of authority processing times, system downtime, public holidays, inspections, additional document requests, or changes in law or policy.

Fees

  • Our service fee is what you pay DBM for our work. It is set out in your quotation or engagement letter.
  • Government and third-party fees — authority charges, free zone charges, immigration and medical fees, typing, translation, attestation, insurance and similar — are separate. They are set by those bodies, can change without notice, and are payable in addition to our fee.
  • Quotations are valid for the period stated in them. If government fees change before payment is made, the amount payable changes accordingly.
  • Once a government or third-party fee has been paid on your behalf, it is generally non-refundable, whether or not the application succeeds — because we cannot recover it either.

Payment terms and instalments are set out in your quotation or engagement letter for that specific piece of work. Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these terms — please read it before you pay.

What we need from you

  • Accurate, complete and genuine information and documents, provided in good time. Applications are rejected far more often for missing or inconsistent paperwork than for anything else.
  • Identity and beneficial-ownership documents so that we can meet our anti-money-laundering obligations. We cannot act for you without them.
  • Prompt responses when an authority asks for something further, and your attendance where a process requires you in person — for example biometrics, medical testing or a bank interview.

We rely on what you give us. We are not responsible for delays, rejections, penalties or losses caused by information or documents that turn out to be inaccurate, incomplete, expired or falsified, or by a failure to respond in time.

Your own obligations after setup

Once your company exists, it carries continuing legal duties — licence renewal, visa renewal, accounting records, tax filing, economic substance and UBO reporting where applicable. We will carry out whichever of these you engage us for. Anything you have not engaged us for remains your responsibility, and late compliance can attract fines from the relevant authority.

Confidentiality

We treat your information and documents as confidential and disclose them only to the authorities, banks and intermediaries needed to carry out your instructions, or where the law requires it. How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit, loss of opportunity or business interruption, nor for the acts, delays, decisions or fee changes of any government authority, bank or third-party provider. Our total liability in connection with an engagement is limited to the service fee you have paid us for that engagement.

Using this website

  • The content here is general information about UAE business setup and is kept up to date as best we can, but rules and fees change. Do not rely on it as advice for your own situation — ask us and we will confirm what applies to you.
  • Cost figures, ranges and calculator results are indicative estimates for guidance only. They are not quotations and are not binding.
  • The text, design, images and logos on this site belong to DBM or its licensors. Authority and free zone logos are the property of those organisations and are shown for identification only. You may not copy or republish our content without permission.
  • Do not use this site unlawfully, attempt to interfere with it, or submit anyone else's personal details without their consent.
  • We aim to keep the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or remove content at any time.

Communication

We may correspond with you by email, telephone and WhatsApp. Please note that ordinary email and messaging are not fully secure. If you send us documents, use the contact details published on this site and check the address carefully — we will never ask you to send payment to an account that differs from the one on our invoice, and we will never request payment details by unsolicited message.

Ending an engagement

Either of us may end an engagement in writing. Fees for work already done, and government or third-party fees already paid on your behalf, remain payable. We will hand over the documents you are entitled to, subject to any records we are legally obliged to retain.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute. We would always rather resolve a concern directly — please contact us first.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version published here on the date you engage us is the one that applies to that engagement. The date at the top shows when this page was last revised.
