What we collect, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the control you have over it.

This policy explains how Diligence Business Management (DBM) handles personal information when you use www.dbmsbusiness.ae, contact us, or engage us for business setup, visa, PRO, tax or compliance services in the UAE. It is written with reference to UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data.

Information we collect
- Information you give us. Your name, email address, telephone or WhatsApp number, the service you are interested in, and anything you write in an enquiry form, email or message.
- Information needed to deliver a service. If you engage us, we collect the documents an application requires — for example passport copies, Emirates ID, visa pages, photographs, educational or professional certificates, proof of address, company documents and details of shareholders or beneficial owners.
- Information collected automatically. When you visit the website we and our analytics providers record technical data such as your approximate location, device and browser type, the pages you view, and how you arrived at the site.
How we use it
- To answer your enquiry and provide a quotation or consultation.
- To prepare, submit and follow up applications on your behalf with the relevant UAE authorities.
- To provide ongoing accounting, tax, compliance and renewal services you have engaged us for.
- To meet our own legal obligations, including anti-money-laundering and record-keeping duties.
- To improve the website and understand which of our services people are looking for.
- To send you service updates or, where you have agreed to it, occasional information about our services. You can opt out of the latter at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where it is necessary to do the work you have asked us to do, or where the law requires it:
- Government and licensing authorities — such as the Department of Economy and Tourism, free zone authorities, the GDRFA and ICP for immigration matters, MOHRE, the Federal Tax Authority and the Ministry of Economy. Submitting your documents to these bodies is the service itself; an application cannot be made without it.
- Banks and financial institutions, where you have asked us to assist with opening a corporate account.
- Typing centres, medical fitness centres, translators, attestation offices and other approved intermediaries used in UAE government processes.
- Service providers who operate our systems — website hosting, email, analytics and customer-communication tools. They act on our instructions and may not use your data for their own purposes.
- Regulators, law enforcement or courts, where we are legally required to disclose information.
Anti-money-laundering obligations
As a company service provider in the UAE, DBM is subject to anti-money-laundering and counter-terrorist-financing requirements. This means we must verify the identity of our clients and their beneficial owners, keep those records for the period the law prescribes, and report suspicious activity to the competent authority. We are not permitted to tell you if such a report has been made. These obligations override any request to delete the records concerned.
Where your information is held
Our website and some of the tools we use are operated by providers whose servers may be located outside the UAE. Where information is transferred abroad, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to a standard consistent with UAE data protection law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are kept only as long as they are useful for following up, and then deleted. Client records are kept for the duration of our engagement and afterwards for as long as UAE law requires us to retain them — which for anti-money-laundering and accounting records is a number of years after the relationship ends.
Keeping it secure
We use access controls, encrypted connections and reputable service providers to protect your information, and we limit access to the people who need it to do their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security — but if a breach occurs that is likely to affect you, we will act on it and notify you and the authorities as required.
Your rights
Subject to UAE law and to the obligations described above, you may ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- delete information we no longer have a lawful reason to keep;
- stop using your information for marketing;
- restrict or object to certain uses of your information.
Write to info@dbmsbusiness.ae and we will respond. We may need to verify your identity first. If we cannot act on a request — usually because a legal retention duty applies — we will explain why.
Cookies and analytics
The website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work and to measure how it is used, including Google Analytics. These tell us things like which pages are visited and where visitors come from; they are not used to identify you personally. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work as intended.
Other websites
Our site links to government portals, free zone authorities and social media. Those sites have their own privacy policies and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children except where a parent or guardian provides it as part of a family visa or dependant application.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or the law change. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
Contact us
